Silver birch tree roundel large 2

A beautiful fused glass tree sculpture with the treetops seeming to grow out of the glass, giving life to the piece. Made from sheet glass cut to shape , glass powders and frit, formed and assembled in a kiln then fired at 755 degC to create this woodland springtime scene which evokes the Buckinghamshire countryside where I live. As it translucent, it is greatly affected by the qulaity of light as it changes throughout the day, giving endless pleasure to the viewer.

Free standing in its frame, the piece measures approx. 35 cm wide x 38 cm tall. It can be placed on a window ledge, a shelf or any flat surface.
