Dichroic Fused Glass and Silver Earrings

Pretty sparkly glass cabochon encased in PMC fine silver, suspended from handmade sterling silver wire earring hooks.

I make the individual cabochons by firing layers of dichroic and clear glass in a kiln at 800Deg C. I then wrap them in PMC silver clay which fires again in a kiln at 700 Deg C leaving a solid fine silver setting.

After cleaning and polishing these are then suspended from hand formed silver wire earrings hooks.
